Her birth mother had stayed with her for only the first two days of her life, leaving behind nothing but a name—Mary…

Fitz possessed an extraordinary cosmic power, but without the energy of pure goodness, he was nothing but a shadow, invisible to the human eye. To live among people, he took a human form and found Mary—a lonely, kind-hearted girl abandoned by the world. Bound by an unspoken, mysterious connection, Fitz risked everything to make Mary his true daughter and share his gifts with her.
But cosmic power comes with a price. In protecting her, Fitz damaged his own soul, becoming a threat to the very child he loved most. Can a broken bond be healed through the ultimate power of forgiveness?
